Albay province is situated Bicol Region, which occupies southeast peninsula of Luzon Island. It is bounded by Camarines Sur to the north and Sorsogon to the south, and the Lagonoy Gulf to the northeast.
Albay is home to the spectacular Mayon Volcano, the region’s crown jewel and one of the great wonders of the world.

Albay is subdivided into 15 municipalities and 3 cities namely Legazpi, Tabaco, and Ligao. The provincial capital is Legazpi City. Albay’s municipalities include Bacacay, Malinao, Malilipot, Sto. Domingo, Tiwi, Camalig, Daraga, Manito and Rapu-rapu, Guinobatan, Jovellar, Libon, Oas, Pio Duran, and Polangui.
