Cebu Provincial Capitol is the seat of the provincial government of Cebu in the Philippines. It is located in Cebu City, at the north end of Osmeña Boulevard. An inscription on the facade of the building reads “The authority of the government emanates from the people”.
The Cebu Provincial Capitol building is of of pre-war vintage and has the undulating mountains of Cebu for its background. It was built in 1937 and designed by Architect Juan Arellano. It is Majestic and imposing, its high dome can be seen along Osmeña Boulevard. A replica of the United States’ White House. One of the many beautiful capitol buildings in the country, constructed in 1937 under the administration of Governor Sotero Cabahug.
