There are two major seaports in Bohol to consider when traveling from Cebu: Tagbilaran Port and Tubigon Port. The fastest and cheapest way to get to Bohol Island (from Cebu City) is to cross the Cebu Strait via ferry from Pier 1, Downtown, Cebu City to Tubigon Port in Tubigon, Bohol. It only takes 45 minutes to an hour by fastcraft or up to two hours by RORO Ferry, which is half the time it takes to travel to Tagbilaran and (more importantly) only less than half the cost.

Tubigon Port, Bohol

Not only is it more economical, but tourists can also maximize their itinerary by visiting many of Bohol’s major attractions on their way to Tabilaran City or Panglao Island. Arriving at Tubigon Port, there are plenty of vans for hire and public transportation parked just outside the entrance. Tourists can either go direct to Tabilaran City via the coastal road or through the island’s central highway.

This seems to be a very safe ferry. I do not hesitate to board my family. The design of this StarCraft is such that even in rain or bad weather, (not withstanding motion)it is a very pleasant ride to and from Tubigon.
