The City Hall of Manila, is one of the most distinctive landmarks of the city. The City Hall got negative reviews on the early days because of its lack of architectural design and random placement of the clock tower. To date, many people praise the City Hall and its design for the same reason the complex vilified. The building proper has a shape similar to a coffin or in the other hand, it is like a shield of a knight templar, only it lacks symmetry.and regularity. Several places near the City Hall are mostly landmarks and luxurious hotels.
The clock tower became a distinctive trademark of the city and the city hall. Every hour, the bell sounds thrice and would play a melody. During nighttime, the tower is greatly visible as it was illuminated by lights at night. Manila had been known not just of its Rizal Park, but of the city hall. The city hall was recognized for its clock tower, which hold the title as the biggest clock (tower) in the Philippines.
