San Vicente

San Vicente is a 1st class municipality in the province of Palawan, Philippines. It is located at the northern part of Palawan Province midway between Puerto Princesa City and El Nido. San Vicente is known for Port Barton, a popular backpacker’s destination and Long Beach, one of the longest white sand beaches in the Philippines. Similar to El Nido, San Vicente is blessed with many untouched islands and islets brimming with a rich marine ecosystem and breathtaking seascapes.

How to Get to San Vicente, Palawan

San Vicente is accessible by bus & shuttle vans:

Puerto Princesa City to San Vicente. San Vicente is approximately 3 to 4 hours away. The jeepney leaves the San Jose Market Terminal in Puerto Princesa at around 7am (P200 fare). There are also shuttle (L300) vans doing a few trips throughout the day from Puerto Princesa to San Vicente (P300 fare).

Roxas to San Vicente. San Vicente is just 1 and a half hours away from Roxas town, Palawan. The jeepneys bound for San Vicente also leaves Roxas terminal at 7am. Catching a ride at Roxas Town if coming from El Nido or Taytay.

Within San Vicente, tricycles, motorcycles, and outrigger boats are the usual mode of transportation. There is no direct land route from San Vicente to Brgy. Port Barton. Commuters will have to do a double back to Roxas terminal (along the main highway) or rent a pumpboat (1 hour travel time; P1,200 boat rental). The coastal highway from San Vicente Town Proper to Brgy. Port Barton is still being developed and not currently passable by vehicles.
